This is exactly where i am at with my network. I have 20 IP phones which connect out to a hosted PBX server. I am having an issue with the phones losing connection when idle. The phones are fine when being used and such. someone recommended STUN but is not supported on Polycom. anyway just hoping that VLAN could solve this. I have a hybrid network with fibre, half dozen switches, access points. about 25 PC's and 10 printers. blah. i do have newer cisco switches which support VLAN. Hi thanks for the post.
