Satisfying the needs of an IT professional
My business idea came from a software application I used every day in various IT departments. The software always had an insane amount of features, options and data to display. I used to consider myself a “power user” so I tried to maximise my use of those features. What took me quite some time to realize was that not everyone on my team was ready or willing to use all those extra features. It was almost impossible to have a version that suited everyone.
We needed something else. We needed the exact same software with more features for the power user and less features for the receptionist. When an IT manager faces that situation, she has the choice to purchase a different software or have it built in-house. Unfortunately what we don’t realize is that they’re all the same.
Function, not form
One of my favorite parts of writing this web application is that I don’t need to follow what everyone else has done in the past. My goal is to change the way people use this type of software, to solve the same problems, but more efficiently.
I understand how vague this post might sound at the moment, but i’d rather show it with screenshots and a functional demo. Stay tuned because i’ll be making a few announcements within the next few days/weeks.
